2017 BMW M2 facelift spotted out on the road

BMW M2 2017 facelift
BMW is currently preparing a facelift for its 2 Series coupe, and the firm’s hot model – the M2 – won’t be left out of the round of updates.
Our spy photographers have snapped the new M2 out on the road ahead of its planned reveal later this year, revealing some of the minor design changes in store for the smallest M car.
At the front, it’s possible to spot new LED headlights with hexagonal lighting signatures like the ones introduced on the new 5 Series. The new style headlights are beginning to find their way across the BMW range and were recently fitted to the 4 Series as part of that car’s 2017 facelift, so it’s no surprise to find them here
The nose as a whole wears a much heavier disguise than seen in the shots of the regular 2 Series facelift, suggesting a tweaked front apron could be on the way. The new 4 Series received a nip and tuck here too.
Around the back, masking on the taillights suggests a new lighting signature here as well. A small strip of masking on the rear apron hints at a slight redesign for the rear diffuser.
Changes under the bonnet seem unlikely for what is a mid-life facelift, and the M2 will retain its 365bhp, 500Nm torque turbocharged 3.0-litre straight six, good for 0-62mph when combined with a manual gearbox.
Should the recent 4 Series facelift be anything to go by, a refreshed infotainment system a new tile based operating system could be on the cards, alongside a wider choice of interior trims and upholsteries. BMW also altered the suspension and steering on its larger coupe, so small mechanical tweaks like these would be unsurprising too.
